Gather
with people from all walks of life to birth a heartfelt Earth
stewardship global culture inspired by the shamanic wisdom of our
Original Peoples. This gathering at the Native American sacred site of
Mesa Verde will offer an opportunity to apprentice in advanced Earth
stewardship ceremonies and rituals, working with the patterns of our
planetary biosphere and within the vast energy field of the universe.
With reverence for the natural world, we will merge with the flow of
Gaia's living soul mirrored in the larger patterns of the Cosmos, and
deepen our mastery as caretakers of ancestral places of sacred power
such as Mesa Verde.
We will gather with Don Oscar
Miro-Quesada, various elders of the Hopi Nation, the Santa Domingo
Pueblo, the Jemez Pueblo and people from all walks of life to co-create
ceremony on the sacred ancestral grounds of Mesa Verde. This unique
experience will allow you to be in ceremony with the Native Ones as we
honor their ancestors, ancestral lands, and re-activate the lands
through ceremony and sacred geometry. This is a unique opportunity to
participate with tribal elders and the Pueblo Buffalo Dancers on their
sacred lands within the Mesa Verde National Park. We estimate starting
at approximately 2:30 pm. on Friday, September 5th and concluding by 1
pm on Sunday, September 7th.

Location: North Bennington, Vermont
Faery doctors are men and women in rural Ireland and other Celtic lands
who treat people suffering from illnesses and misfortunes attributed to
faery influence. In the past, faery doctoring was strongest in areas
without western medical care and where the presence of the Otherworld
was recognized as one of the realities of daily life. As modern ways of
life encroached on these traditional societies, faery doctoring was
looked upon as superstition, and much of the old wisdom was lost. And
yet, like shamanism, it is undergoing a revival. The faery doctor --
like the shaman or the druid -- re-appears in every age to meet the
needs of the times. Every age must, therefore, come to its own
understanding of the faery world and its relationship to it.

Faery doctors are men and women in rural Ireland and other Celtic lands
who treat people suffering from illnesses and misfortunes attributed to
faery influence. In the past, faery doctoring was strongest in areas
without western medical care and where the presence of the Otherworld
was recognized as one of the realities of daily life. As modern ways of
life encroached on these traditional societies, faery doctoring was
looked upon as superstition, and much of the old wisdom was lost. And
yet, like shamanism, it is undergoing a revival. The faery doctor --
like the shaman or the druid -- re-appears in every age to meet the
needs of the times. Every age must, therefore, come to its own
understanding of the faery world and its relationship to it.

Way Of The Shaman: Basic Workshop In Core Shamanism - Canada (All Day)

During the Basic experiential workshop, participants are introduced to
core shamanism, the universal and near-universal basic methods of the
shaman to enter nonordinary reality for problem solving and healing.
Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most
remarkable visionary methods used by humankind to explore the hidden
universe otherwise known mainly through myth and dream. Participants
are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other
techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for
awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with
Nature.
Practice includes comparisons by participants of their discoveries in
shamanic journeys as well as being introduced to shamanic divination
and healing. They are also provided with methods for journeying to meet
and study with their own individual spirit helpers in nonordinary
reality, a classic step in shamanic practice. Participants learn how
the journey is utilized to restore spiritual power and health, and how
shamanism can be applied in contemporary daily life to help heal
oneself, others, and the Planet.
Completion of this workshop qualifies participants to take more advanced FSS workshops.

Lower World Shamanic Journey - CO (10:00AM - 5:30PM)

Prerequisites: None
In this experiential workshop you will learn the ancient method of
entering the shamanic journey trance. Each participant will locate a
power animal and be instructed on the journey to lower world. Basic
divination will be covered and time will be spent on interpretation and
basic understanding of the metaphors of the shamanic journey. This
class serves as a prerequisite for Path Home Shamanic Arts School's
advanced courses and Practitioner trainings.
