Introduction To The Opalescent Workshops - CO (All Day)
Date: 05/31/08
Time: 9:30 am
Name: Introduction to the Opalescent Workshops - CO
Location: Boulder, CO
* All Day Event
Presented by Karen Kuk-Nagle and Christopher Paiz
Opals are capable of refracting and reflecting light in a gorgeous play
of color. The word "opalescent" describes the light, color, and
iridescence of the opal.
In the workshops, we use opalescent to represent the full display of
emotions and feelings. When in balance, a human being experiences the
complete range of emotions, and uses these feelings as guide posts. The
balanced person can be represented by the opal — refracting light and
reflecting it in a play of color, the light and color which they use to
create their actual life.
In our culture, many emotions and feelings are often judged as
unacceptable. In the worst case, some people live their entire lives
tossing only between "happy" and "sad"; "up" and "down." In terms of
color and light, this would be the same as living in a world of black
and white!
This is a striking contrast from the world of color. However, those
trapped in the world of emotional duality may be unaware of how this
programming affects their perceptions and creations. Without the full
spectrum of emotions to guide the way, the play of color in life is
lost. The Opalescent Workshops assist in creating a more colorful life.
The subtitle of these workshops is: "Discover Your Greatest Treasure."
Before awareness arises, emotions act to unconsciously create most of
one’s life. Discovering one’s emotional landscape, and cultivating it,
will begin to unlock the treasure within.
Feelings and emotions are the gems out of which one creates the
treasures of life. Embracing emotions as gems makes it easy to tap this
wealth. The Opalescent Workshops assist you in opening to your own
treasures.
Cost: $250
Time" 9:30-5:00

Holotropic Breathwork Lecture - CO (7:00PM - 8:30PM)
The Caritas Spiritist Center
3775 Iris Ave.
Suite B
Boulder, CO 80301-2043
303.449.3066
What is Holotropic Breathwork?
Holotropic Breathwork is premised on the pioneering efforts and visions of Dr. Stanislav Grof and Christina Grof. It is based on modern consciousness research, depth psychology, and various spiritual practices. A highly experiential method, Holotropic Breathwork accesses non-ordinary states of consciousness through a combination of deep relaxation, enhanced breathing, evocative music, and focused bodywork. This allows access to a variety of possible experiences ranging from issues from our current life, childhood or birth, as well as beyond the personal realm. Each experience is guided by the intrinsic wisdom within each person. Artwork and group processing are used to enhance understanding and promote integration of experiences. "Holotropic" literally means moving toward wholeness.
Holotropic Breathwork is intended as a personal growth experience and should not be looked upon as a substitute for psychotherapy.

Way Of The Shaman: Basic Workshop In Core Shamanism - Canada (All Day)
Date: 06/15/08
Name: Way of the Shaman: Basic Workshop in Core Shamanism - Canada
Location: Lakefield, Ontario, Canada
During the Basic experiential workshop, participants are introduced to
core shamanism, the universal and near-universal basic methods of the
shaman to enter nonordinary reality for problem solving and healing.
Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most
remarkable visionary methods used by humankind to explore the hidden
universe otherwise known mainly through myth and dream. Participants
are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other
techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for
awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with
Nature.
Practice includes comparisons by participants of their discoveries in
shamanic journeys as well as being introduced to shamanic divination
and healing. They are also provided with methods for journeying to meet
and study with their own individual spirit helpers in nonordinary
reality, a classic step in shamanic practice. Participants learn how
the journey is utilized to restore spiritual power and health, and how
shamanism can be applied in contemporary daily life to help heal
oneself, others, and the Planet.
Completion of this workshop qualifies participants to take more advanced FSS workshops.
For further information, please see the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.
