Behold, the summer, time to play,
To bask and swim and while away,
Perhaps an hour, perhaps a day,
And drift, perhaps, across the bay.

To shores where every dream is found,
Where sun-kissed trails to love abound,
And every wind chime is the sound,
Of laughter lilting all around.

Perhaps we'll catch a breeze in flight,
And travel to the edge of night,
Where cares are scattered left and right,
Where all we fear is lost in light.

But surely we will laugh and sing,
And dance around a faerie ring,
Or leave, perhaps, an offering,
To summers ever-lingering.
