Today is the day the leaves start to brighten
The day my spirits begin to lighten
The day my cheeks flush a cherry red hue
And the grass that I lay in has a sweet morning dew
And the sky that I gaze at is colored with a sleepy pale blue.

Today my bare limbs are kissed by the warmth of the sun
The feeling of winter being over with and done
The bulbs of the lemon yellow daffodils examining me
I am one of them now, and this they can see
And yet in this beautiful splendor I feel quite lonely.

Today is the day I wait for you still.
I wait for you always.
Come back to me.
