| June 2008 |
Global
New Moon on Venus, full Moon on Pluto, Mercury retrograde in its own sign - times of communication problems, lies and deceit becoming uncovered and old endings finally being enacted. The amount of hype and spin out there now is at a mass peak of frenzy, there's a definition by absence of what is wrong with our society. Current new beginnings and old endings are symptomatic of these times, times of death and rebirth. The phoenix will rise, but what we're going through now is the painful birth pangs of the new order. Full realisation is not due for another two years, but new patterns established now are going to represent a blueprint for the long term future.
Aries
If you try and promote or push yourself into or onto the outside world now, you're likely to either fail spectacularly or else arouse considerable opposition to your plans. If, however, you plod away steadily and consistently, you'll find that your physical energy levels are regular, strong even. It's a great month for just getting things done without bringing too much attention to yourself, and you'll find that as June progresses so the need to be so careful in your dealings with others decreases and the road in front of you becomes steadily more even. If you're going to take any specific decisive action in June, do it after the 20th from when on things become easier.
Taurus
The financial and professional outlook for June is pretty good now, and there should be no new problems coming up in these areas. But in terms of getting along with your fellow human beings there can be issues, especially around the concept of personal space. You may encounter a degree of hostility or antagonism if you push ahead regardless of others feelings or opinions, and if so then this is because in your rapid push forwards you're not being aware whose toes you're treading on. Concentrate on the business and fiscal front in June because this is where you can prosper without significant opposition. Just take others with you to look after your future!
Gemini
The Gemini new Moon on the 3rd is conjunct Venus, so this should be a time of prosperous and positive opportunities to do well for yourself in both the financial and romantic areas of your life. However, Mercury is also retrograde in Gemini until the 20th, so no new decisions or actions of any consequence should be undertaken until after this time. This sounds like a paradox, and there is an element of dichotomy about the first half of June, but it's a great time for test, trial, taste, experience and experiment. Lousy time for new major decisions or actions, as there's constantly new information coming in, but a good time for breaking the mould and new beginnings.
Cancer
Changing circumstances make this an unpredictable month where the potential for many different things to be happening is stronger than usual. You will find that after the 18th when Venus enters Cancer the pace of life becomes more comfortable and balances out. From this time your star is on the ascendant and you'll find that your popularity levels become steadily healthier. But this is a time of fine tuning as opposed to radical action, so don't rock the boat too much. On the one hand, if it's working don't fix it, but on the other hand, if it's not working don't jump headfirst into sudden decisions or actions that you'll later regret. You have time, so take it.
Leo
Mars is rampaging through your sign with the subtlety of a brick, so this is not a time to be gentle, empathic and sensitive. Instead, strike whilst the iron is hot. Being projective and assertive is no big deal. It's when being aggressive and overly confrontational enter the equation that other people stand up and start opposing you. You can make things happen now if you don't vacillate, it's time to stand up and be counted, to activate and motivate yourself to do what you dream you can do. There's an unusually high degree of strength and physical capacity around you now, so make good use of it and strive for movement forward. You should be successful.
Virgo
Approaching the halfway point of the year and by now Saturn's influence has either limited or forcibly restructured a number of patterns in your life. Hopefully, you're learning that it's easier to live within self imposed limitations than within those imposed on you by others. This is the month to make sure that everything's working, that there's no outstanding business and that your decks are clear. It's a good time to test the functionality of things, whether objects, relationships or careers, and to re-evaluate their worth, for positive or for challenging. But do this now, don't hang about. As of next month, Mars is coming to stay, and he will not be quiet.
Libra
A mixed bag in June, with the start of the month seemingly excellent for broadening the mind, either through debate, education or travel. But it's the philosophical side of things that ultimately appeal; it's the experience not the result that counts. And as the month evolves, so the potential for you to become more contemplative gets stronger. As you can see, it's not a time for being proactive or overly assertive, but neither are you going to be a shrinking violet. Things do become simpler towards the end of the month, and then your options will slowly become clearer and clearer. It's not yet time for major decisions or actions, but you can prepare the ground for times to come.
Scorpio
After the endings, beginnings, yet more endings and general mayhem of this last month or so, it's good to get back to a pace of life that has a lesser degree of intensity and extremes than that of recent times. The disorientation and confusion that seems to be affecting everyone else is passing you by, and if you keep your head there will be clear examples of new opportunities developing around you. Windows of opportunity float in front of you for a short time only - use them or lose them, but I suggest you jump through them because the alternative is to join the madding throng. Whilst it's quiet, reflect on last month, and look on the long term potentials.
Sagittarius
Six more months, that's all. Pluto is coming back now for one more final stay over in your sign, until the end of November. But the hardest time of the coming half year comes at the end of this month, with the Sagittarian full Moon conjuncting Pluto in the heavens. This is the final examination, a summary of the last eleven years and a test of your viability to cope with a different future than any you could have imagined in the mid nineties. There may be a degree of elimination around you at the moment, with a number of things coming to an inevitable end. But for every ending there's a new beginning, and this may well be the emergence of the phoenix - finally!
Capricorn
Well, now that 'fat boy' Jupiter is retrograding through your sign, much of the hype and spin of recent months is being exposed for what it is – hot air. Balloons are bursting around you now, and if you've overreached yourself recently in any way then the repercussions may be strong. Alternatively, if you've recently adopted a more balanced and stable approach, developments continue apace without being over the top. Regardless of which way things are working for you now - it's too late to change course, at least in the short term. See things through this month, don't bring closure because of what will be seen in the future as mountains made out of molehills.
Aquarius
And it's all about one to one relationships at the moment, whether they be with partner, parent, child, friend or work colleague. And it can get quite feisty, which is unusual for you. Far better to subliminate your energies into some type of community or group enterprise where you can safely let off steam without worrying about the risk of offending any one individual. You need people, plural, around you now, because without them you can drift off in fairy land. Fantasy stays between the ears, but the imagination can be created or demonstrated, and your best ability now is to work with other(s) on the ground that two and two equals five. It's called synergy.
Pisces
Temporary confusion seems to be the order of the day during the first half of the month, when the world may seem full of miscommunications and misunderstandings. Obviously not a good time for big decisions or actions in any way that goes beyond the norm. Nevertheless, after solstice the energy changes around you in ways that bring a greater degree of leisure and pleasure into your life, something that seems to have been sorely lacking in recent months. Just take your time and get to the end of the month without shooting yourself in the foot by saying something silly. Everyone hears, but how many listen? There are gaps between words that speak volumes.
