A number of events dominate now. Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn call for restructure in political administration worldwide, and with Mars brewing up for it's final opposition to Pluto in early March the tempo of life is not going to decrease. To add insult to injury, there's a Mercury retrograde ongoing around Neptune, so the chances of anyone making sense of the whole thing are negligible. We're collectively in fog at the moment, and it'll take a surgical incision at the start of March to extricate ourselves. The hardest month of the year, but there's light on the horizon - the coming Jupiter-Uranus sextile is warming up and brings new developments in mid March that will startle but please most of us.

And it's brewing in a steadily increasing way, but don't go rushing ahead now will you? These are days of decisions and actions, not results. You can make difficult choices now; you're in a more eliminative state than usual. Is popularity more important than being effective and efficient? Alternatively, is being successful at the price of popularity worth it? Do it the hard way now, then you only have to do it once - and don't take short cuts. Classic Saturn advice, really, epitomising the times you seem to live in at the moment. But February is actually the corner being turned, and March should be spectacular - just don't be scared to get all the difficult stuff over with now, so that you can enjoy it. 

You can't avoid taking actions now, but be aware that long term actions or decisions are unlikely to work out the way you expect them to at the moment. Temper the side of yourself that feels the urgency - impulsiveness at this time could well be your downfall, and there is an element of risk in just jumping in head first. However, neither can you just do nothing. Actions speak louder than words, but wise and considered actions speak volumes, so make sure than any big choices currently being undertaken are thought out - and then, but only then, go in with the metaphorical scalpel, preferably after the 20th, from when onwards your clarity becomes steadily stronger.

Taureans are not the best at motivating themselves when everything seems to be going swimmingly, but that is just what is being asked of you now. The danger at this time is that you could become complacent and get used to the levels of positive energy that are coming your way now. Then you get a sharp shock when they move on. Instead, be aware that whilst in the short term - this month - communications are down; by the start of March you're going to become increasingly aware of how opportune life becomes. There are a number of developments that seemingly encourage accelerated growth going on around you now - take an element of all of them, just don't go over the top.

And these really are the final days of recent difficulties. Over the last fourteen months the pace of life has left you quite ragged at the edges, and now you enter the final phase of the madness - with five weeks it's all going to be over including the shouting. Current times suggest a kind of mopping up, a finishing of outstanding business and a bringing of final conclusions to situations that have really dragged on far too long. So drag yourself up, get yourself together and prepare for one final push. By early March it's a different ball game, you'll be in a better position to relax. But for now, push yourself just one last time, be a bit more ruthless and be clear where you stand by the end of the month.

Oh Dear, it does seem as if all the chickens have come home to roost at the same time, doesn't it? A lot of sudden new flurries, a lot of squawking and a big increase in volume. But what's behind it all? The sudden energetic shift since New Year implies that the area of life being affected most strongly over the majority of this year, but especially now, is that of your one to one relationships and your reactions to other. A lot of changes are imminent this year that are going to permanently change things, hopefully for the better. Those situations that don't improve will eventually be eliminated. Shields up temporarily, but get ready to metaphorically come out fighting next month.

It's a bit of a mess on the surface, isn't it? For those of you who measure success by superficial standards, this month is a disappointment, with uncertainty and 'blurred vision' the main theme. But most of you won't panic, knowing in a feeling based as opposed to a mentally based way that current difficulties are transient and that by holding a steady course you can weather the storm and grow substantially. Just don't take everything at face value now, there's a lot of misunderstandings and potential confusion, with clarity and objectivity a month or so away yet. The worst thing you can do is to join the mad throng - the best is to stay centred and calm.

There's a totally eclipsed Moon in Virgo on the 21st, suggesting that issues of real worth are going to become steadily more the focus. Will it be compromise and adjustment as you struggle to adapt to ever changing circumstances? This brings a feeling of psychic sandpaper. Or, will it be a month of transformation where you realise that values change with the times, and that real worth is as variable as the weather. Are your standards physical, financial, ethical, spiritual? What has real value and worth? Either be the victim and martyr happily, or use this month to take a few chances that will be unalterable, yet should also re-evolutionise your life.

On the one hand, the dynamic has now permanently changed, and there are new scenario's developing almost daily for you to get your teeth into. On the other hand, February offers almost a snapshot of the past year and the ability to summarise it neatly and use the amalgamated experiences of 2007 as a tool to deal with 2008. This is the last month to improve effectiveness and efficiency: from the end of February it's going to be full on, so make sure that you don't leave any loose ends behind you that will act as brakes. Clear the past now while you have the opportunity. Two months time you'll be really glad you did. Hate to say this to you, but it's time to come off of the fence.

A lot's changed in the last six weeks, things are very different now. So just for a month, take your foot off of the accelerator and just coast along with your current momentum. By doing this you can catch up with yourself, and assimilate and integrate recent developments. There's a lot of miscommunication out there at the moment, and the easiest thing to do would be to contribute to it by shouting louder than anyone else. Better to pause and take breath, gather your energies and prepare yourself for a time from March onwards when your expression and creativity will be a lot better than it is now. So far has just been the process of preparation. Get the last bits right now, and get ready.

Now that the madness of the last year has subsided and you're not under the spotlight so much, perhaps you might like to look at the 2007 with different eyes and start drawing conclusions. Now that the urgency has dissipated you can bring a more considered approach to life, and with the benefit of recent experience you can begin to safely close doors on the past without having to lock them. It is a month for drawing conclusions and bringing closure to a number of life areas, and then sitting in repose for a time, allowing things to integrate slowly. Take it easy now, it's like a time of post operatic shock, and by the end of this month the wounds will be sealed. Then the proper healing can begin.

Beginning to get used to the spotlight, I hope you're enjoying it because things are just about to double in speed - again! The acceleration in life at this time is to bring you up to scratch, to get you ready for times yet to come, and to prepare you for a lot of one to one encounters over the coming months. It is particularly those of you born between the 1st and the 6th of January who are most at risk of overreaching yourselves, but for all of you the danger is primarily of overstretching your financial resources. It's the difference between needs, wants and desires that's currently being evaluated. Get the balance right, because next month is going to be even faster and you need to be on an even keel.

Joy of joys, you've Mercury retrograde ongoing nearly all month. Get used to the idea that emails, phone calls and letters are going to be misplaced or lost. Miscommunication and misunderstandings are rife, there's difficulty in making sense of anything, and it's all over the place. Better to bounce along without taking large decisions or actions, because these things will not work the way you expect now. It's only after the 20th of the month that there's sign of clear light on the horizon, although it will get brighter faster than ever by the end of the month. Just take your time and don't blithely believe everything you're being told. You're not necessarily being lied to - it's just a confusing time.
