The global outlook for April is remarkably positive compared to recent times. Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus bonding in earth and water signs give big potential for leaps in evolution at the soft and green technological cutting edge, with an energy of innovation and novelty waiting to be harnessed, and I think that environmental and ecological arenas are prime for sudden bursts of development. Individually, April’s theme is that of structured and solid work in areas of life that benefit community and others as much as if not more than oneself, in return for a more grounded and saner way of life. Because if symbiosis with each other and Gaia isn’t part of our future, what kind of future will it be?

Decisions are needed now, there’s an impetus that just won’t go away. You’re likely to find that issues concerning both home and career are more demanding than normal, suggesting a degree of stretching that may leave you feeling thin in the middle. Yet changes seem unavoidable, some type of action must be taken because the status quo can’t be maintained any longer. Despite the frantic and frenetic verbal and mental interplay, it’s best not to take big chances now, as balance and detachment are not high on the agenda. Venus in Aries throughout April gives a veneer of sophistication and gentility, but this only lightly covers the urges within. So far and no further.

April should be the best month of 2008, getting progressively faster as it evolves. Make no mistake; the latter two weeks of this month are an excellent time for personal development and advancement in a number of ways. Your personal financial situation could easily be enhanced by the taking of opportunities that arise then - use them or lose them, inertia breeds sterility. From the 17th onwards your feet won’t be touching the ground and the pace of day by day life will have greatly accelerated. Make sure that you’re in a nimble enough state both physically and mentally to be able to take advantage of these times. This is your time, so grab it while it’s there.

Treading very cautiously indeed at the moment, it’s like you’re walking through a clearly defined minefield where if you follow the path you’ll be fine, but there’s the underlying suspicion that somewhere there may just be an unspotted mine. So move forward gingerly and lightly, making little impression as you slowly advance. If you’re clever you’ll stay below the radar screen and not draw attention to yourself. A few of you are having to deal with unavoidable losses/changes, but more than 90% of Gemini’s are in a state of abeyance, where they can remain apparently neutral whilst progressing onwards slowly. Build up your energy and prepare for May and June.

It’s as though the last six months have really changed one or two of your basic structures at a fundamental level, and the results are still developing. But after much to-ing and fro-ing, you are now in a state where the need for action cannot be ignored. Don’t be scared to make or take incisive actions or decisions that are well thought out, because you’re in a clear state now if somewhat impatient. Mars is still with you for another few weeks, so don’t hesitate now, wise and considered action will work out the way you hope. It is only rash and impulsive actions that can upset the applecart at this stage, and when you’re so close to success why blow it? Don’t change course.

Despite the fact that most of the planets in the heavens seem to be working against you this is a surprisingly good month with a number of low level issues working in your favour. The aim here is to maintain a degree of low key interest, at least on the surface, because by the time May arrives you’re going to become steadily more active. But April is an energy gathering time when you can gradually charge up your batteries to the point of capacity. Don’t waste your time by pushing forward now, it will take you a lot more effort to create what could be very simple in a few weeks time, when Mars will be with you and your energy patterns will go through the roof.

Those of you born between the 23rd-25th August are under Saturn’s restricting and restructuring influence, whilst those of you born between the 11th – 14th are in the midst of unpredictable Uranus transits, bringing change one way or another into your lives. However, the rest of you are in a state of grace at the moment, with a number of different potential positives occurring around you at the daily level. By keeping things simple life moves easily, it’s only when complications arise that progress can become difficult. It’s not naïve to desire simplicity – sometimes the famous Virgoan sense of detail and minutia can become just too much. Simple is as simple does.

Everybody’s favourite whipping post at the moment, the best advice for April is to stay below the radar screen and not look over the parapet. It would be easy for you to unconsciously shoulder the responsibility and perhaps the blame for things that are nothing to do with you. Far better to realise that home affairs or in private are taking up more time than normal, and perhaps these are areas of life that are best attended to at the moment. If you venture ‘out there’ now, sudden imbalance can occur, in a way that can destabilise you for months to come. Stick with what is working for the short term, this is not a good month to be taking risks or pushing oneself forward.

In a healthy position, April is an opportune time of the year for you. Scorpio full Moon on the 20th brings an energy of regeneration and structure into your professional and financial life in a way that augurs well for the medium term future. This compliments an existent energy of expansion and novelty that seems to be permeating all facets of life at the moment. The most fortunate sign of the zodiac right now, opportunities are all around you. Take them and you’ll do well, ignore them and you lose nothing except the possibility of substantial movement forward. You can’t really go wrong now, but don’t get lazy or complacent because times like this are rare.

On the one hand there’s the solid, reliable, structured side of yourself that just knows that the only real option is to put your nose to the grindstone, get stuck in and do it the hard way because then you know you only have to do it once. On the other hand, you haven’t got time for all that! Life’s too short as it is, so let’s take those chances and if some of them don’t work out, well, there’s always tomorrow…. Somewhere between these two extremes is where you are, between order and randomicity. The only real question is whether you’re steering a middle course or whether you’re bouncing all over the place. Best to expand your experiences….. but only so far.

And the affairs of the last three months have started to coalesce…. It’s time to take your foot off of the accelerator and start moving it towards the brake, that the impetus you’re currently running at may be must a little too unsustainable. Both March and April are times of assessing and testing, but they turn increasingly a test of knowing when to stop whilst the going’s good. The alternative potential is really overreaching and overstretching yourself, especially at the end of April. Similar but much better situations will occur in mid-November, but for now, just take 40% of what’s going on as real. Just because you think you’re lucky doesn’t mean you are. But it does help.

There’s a welcome lack of attention coming your way at the moment. Be grateful, because the energies loose at this time are not exactly conducive to peace and understanding, and you’re only likely to get in the way of something that’s nothing to do with you if you do come out to play. It’s only those of you born around the 11th to the 14th that are in any kind of trouble, and even they’re not getting it too bad. There is a background energy that subtly increases your financial potential now, not in terms of big changes but in terms of localised benefits from more than one source, so look to diversify your incomes at this time, keep your fingers in many pies

I know Uranus, with his reputation for chaos, change and excitement continues to be a pain in the proverbial for many of you, but this is a stupendous month if you make it that way. So many chances to begin again, to break free in a healthy and clean way and to energise yourself with fresh enthusiasm. You can safely take up to half of the chances happening around you now with more hope than normal, although results won’t become obvious until November. This time represents both the seed germinating and the first shoots coming out in a novel and original, if somewhat scary way. Take your chances now; just have the wisdom to stop before it gets too fast.
