Through a potent combination of advocacy, education and partnerships with grassroots organizations, UUSC supports programs and policies that empower women, defend the rights of children and support the struggles of indigenous people and oppressed racial and ethnic groups. A Darfur Emergency response, providing shelter, water, sanitation and basic sleeping and kitchen materials, has been mobilized. They are also providing supplementary food to 50,000 children under the age of 5 and education for school aged children and women rape victims.
