Steve Judd's Forecast for February 2012
Libra | Scorpio | Sagittarius | Capricorn | Aquarius | Pisces
About Steve Judd

Neptune changes sign properly this month for the first time in fourteen years, into Pisces. Over the coming times I expect more panic and fear about floods and environmental depreciation, but also developing hydrogen and desalination technology to rapidly develop, as well as (sigh) a rapid expansion in so called clairvoyant and channelling practices. Pluto is happily trundling through Capricorn calmly destroying and obliterating everything in its path, and reforming and regenerating as it does so, whilst Uranus is really beginning to pick up speed, and will make the first of a significant number of squares to Pluto over the coming months – it’s warming up during February, so don’t expect the global economic dynamic to suddenly improve. Saturn is not doing anything new, plateauing at the very end of Libra – but it is Jupiter that is beginning to come into the ascendancy. It’s beginning to really accelerate at the start of Taurus, and as March develops so I anticipate startling developments and revelations about further economic subterfuge. During February expect the continual drip-drip of ever worsening scandal, but never quite enough to tip the balance. The new Moon on February 21 is conjunct Neptune, so some type of mystique, glamour or other form of enchanting news story will prove to have been of little substance, merely an imaginative fiction… February is fertile, creative and brewing up a nice little concoction in readiness for the maturity and development of March.
Aries The tempo is definitely beginning to get more dynamic… You can expect this month to steadily increase in terms of expectancy, anticipation and motivation, as well as the potential for frustration and impatience. Uranus is picking up speed, and as it gets faster so your capacity to sit on the fence becomes narrower and narrower until it finally disappears and you‘re forced into making tough choices. Alternatively, this month is a great time for initiation of idea – not necessarily action or development, but for the initial dream, vision and idea. If you take a few chances that aren’t completely stupid, you’ll probably find an element of fortune. Alternatively, if you choose to ignore the windows of opportunity that seem to be floating across you, you won’t lose anything except the chance to better yourself, a chance that comes quite rarely, so really – make the most of innovative or unusual sudden developments that occur. To add to the mix, you’ll find that many events seem to just smooth their way naturally into your life, especially from the 8th February onwards as Venus moves into your sign. Venus isn’t normally that comfortable in Aries, but this time round it’s not going to give you grief unless you’re one of those stick in the mud types who need a nuclear explosion to get them moving. There may well be a degree of unusual energy around on or about the 9th-10th February, as Venus and Uranus come together, and chances taken then stand a statistically better chance than average of working your way, especially if you’re born in March.
Taurus Jupiter is really beginning to pick up speed now, and over the course of the month is going to bring a number of chances into the lives of many of you that will enable you to wrap up things that have been going on for six months with little return or success. Excellent time for popping balloons and stepping back from the edge. Have a good look at the times since July 2011 and ask yourself what has taken too much of your time and energy to sustain and maintain for too little reward or income. You’ll find that February is the month where a lot of hot air balloons disappear and that all that is unsubstantial will just slip and fade away. And for some of you – especially those of you born between the 22nd and the 28th April – February can be a very favourable month if you’re wise enough within yourself to be able to know when to say enough. There is no sign of any significant opposition that is directly stopping you or holding you back, but at the same time perhaps the lessons of the last half year have shown you that sometimes quantity of experience is not quite as good as quality of experience. If you are able to practice conscious selectivity during February, you really can start to get the cream of the crop coming your way. It is a good month for all of you, with no exceptions, but at the same time there is no rush. Next month will bring more in terms of manifest rewards or changes; February is the time for making wise choices.
Gemini For almost all of you, it’s as though 2012 hasn’t really started yet, and to be honest February isn’t going to change that situation very much. It may seem as though you’re driving into a dead end, or that it’s strangely difficult if not impossible to be able to generate any momentum behind you. If you’re finding life somewhat flat, instead of suddenly making waves that would be premature and probably not well thought through, why not simply go for an attitude change, and look at the larger picture as opposed to just at the here and now. The bigger picture says that you’re in a good position to do nothing, to observe and listen without becoming too involved. There is likely to be a degree of conflict or disagreement in the lives of people around you, and particularly in the areas of both home and family on the one hand, and your professional life on the other, there could easily be developments that are actually nothing to do with you, but that it would be very easier to get involved in. Don’t. Let other people get on with their lives, and unless their decisions or actions directly impact on your life, don’t get in their way. Better to watch and learn, and bide your time, waiting for a month or two until you’re sure that you have all the facts and information that you need to make informed choices. In a strange way, you can find that very rare Geminian quality this month – that of understanding the peace of both silence and non action.
Cancer Over recent months the forecast has had a consistency about it suggestive of being on the receiving end of a constant pressure and tension that actually belongs to other people, that you are in effect managing for them. And it’s not that things are getting any lighter – but neither are they getting any worse, and slowly but steadily you’re learning how to cope with the ongoing challenges. And as you plateau, so you start to see that one of the side effects of recent difficulties is that you’ve learnt not only to endure and persevere, but also to become more solid, grounded and practical – by need, if not choice. Your shell and your shields have become a lot stronger in recent times, and now you’re in a good position to deflect and deter any further challenges. There’s even the potential for some of you to begin to come out of yourselves more, although this is primarily those of you born in June as opposed to July. But all of you are in a better space than at any time since August at least, and this should become steadily more apparent as the month goes on. If you wish to make it more proactive, use February to refine and hone some of the physical elements of your lifestyle, thus making yourself feel more effective and efficient that normal. Be aware, however, that it’s not a great month for pushing yourself out into or onto the outside world, you'll encounter thick treacle if you do. Consolidation and redefinition seem to be the watchwords of the month.
Leo Strangely evocative of the past, February can have a set of almost ghostly memories or images fleetingly arriving in your consciousness in a way that can be startling in the short term. If you were to find that this month had strong moments of déjà vu, so much the better. It seems as though there are a lot of doors closing in a way that’s almost invisible except to yourself and those close to you. Veils are clearing from your eyes in a number of areas, and your willingness to deal with things the way they are as opposed to the way you want them to be is commendable. Add to this the Leo full Moon, on the 7th, again suggestive of closure and endings and particularly reminiscent of mid 1999. Having said that, it’s not a bad month. Early Leo’s should find increasing stimulation and anticipation growing, and as long as they don’t go over the top and bite off more than they can chew, all will be progressively developmental. Late Leos seem to be entering a much more stable space than in recent times, with an energy of restructure and consolidation in the background.both now and for the foreseeable future. There’s no sign of new challenge or opposition on the horizon, and you’re not sabotaging yourself. The dawning clarity starting in February may come as a bit of shock initially, but what most of you will find is that you’ll use the new emerging ideas as a wave of creative energy, something that will let you express yourself in an uncluttered way for the first time in what seems like years.
Virgo Mars is heading backwards in your chart in a way that is not going to take any prisoners, and will require decisions and actions, further on down the line. But at the moment you’re in the first phase of the second part of the Mars retrograde process. The times of November through to January have brought new experiences and situations to the fore, reaching some type of temporary height at the end of last month. The time from the start of February until mid April is a period of re-assessment, re-evaluation and a more detached and objective perspective on what’s been happening to you over the recent few months. You may feel out on a limb somewhat, and it’s likely that you will be seen by the majority of people around you as in a different, more reflective space than usual. Not to worry, this will pass in time, but whilst you’re in that reflective space why not check out your values and philosophies, and ask yourself if the reasons for doing what you’re doing are still valid and meaningful? You won’t get specific answers to these questions for a couple of months yet, but you will be able to gather all different types of idea, opinion and judgement together into a consensus, and that’s what’s beginning to occur right now. So watch, listen and learn without becoming too directly involved in what’s going on around you, bide your time and concentrate on the quality of experience more than the quantity. After all – aren’t you worth it?
Libra Finally, Saturn’s screw has stopped the ratcheting up process and the steadily increasing stress and tension of the last six months is beginning to plateau. It’s not that life is suddenly getting any lighter or easier, but neither is it getting any harder. Perhaps February is best used as one of those months where you can cast a critical eye over your domain and what you have left of it and ask yourself about the consistency of your values over the last couple of years. Do you still want the same things as you did two years ago when Saturn moved into your sign? What is likely to happen is that during February you can find yourself becoming almost scarily detached from everyone and everything around you, as though you’ve temporarily stepped off of planet and gone into a stasis zone whilst the energies around you sort themselves out. It’s not a problematical time; it’s just that you may find it difficult to engage, to feel part of what is going on and to find validity in situations around you. So if you feel apart from the rest of the world to a certain extent during February, worry not – it will pass, and should take (individually) no longer than two or three weeks. Now you are entering a period of further evaluation and decision, although the results and the actions that accompany those decisions won’t see the clear light of day for half a year yet. February is the time to watch, observe and start the long term decision making process inside yourself.
Scorpio Finally, there are the first signs of real movement as opposed to the false dawns of recent times. There’s been a lot of ebb and flow over the last six months, and sometimes it really has seemed as tough you’ve taken two steps forward and three back. But now that momentum of slipping has stopped, the consolidation and stability has increased, and you’re now getting ready top move forward from a steadier base than at any time over the last fifteen months. Beware impatience: the push forward is only gradual during February, picking up speed over the coming months, and if those of you at the back push too hard then those at the front may collapse. Especially, those of you born during October are likely to be in the firing line, and only those of you who have chosen to learn the lessons of over reaching yourselves during the last six months will really benefit. But if you’re wise enough to only take the cream and know when to quit, you'll end up in a place of richness and maturity. It is the playing of the subtle chances that makes the difference now as opposed to going for the long odds. What you can safely say now is that the background aura of nebulous or vague confusion that has permeated much of your recent lives at a low level is now clear. There’s a flexing of the muscles, the setting of the jaw, the focus is now firmly on the advancing horizon, and there are definite signs of both impetus and movement. Just take your time – no rush.
Sagittarius Much of the attention going on around you is being directed towards others and their situations as opposed towards you. If you find this difficult, if you’re feeling left out, then by all means get involved with what’s going on around you, but you’ll find that your input isn’t really welcome and that you will end up putting far more effort out than you’ll get reward in. Particularly, you may find that if you get involved in developing situations in either your professional domain or your home and family environment that are nothing to do with you, then your input will not only be derided, but made clear that it is unwelcome. So why not stay out of things that are actually little if anything to do with you and instead concentrate on yourself for a change? February is a great month for organising yourself in ways that you normally can’t because you’re too busy maintaining defences or standards that sustain your every day life. Now you can relax some of your shields and use that energy instead into supporting yourself, recovering from recent times and charging your batteries so that any new development over the coming weeks or months can be met from a fully effective position. A few of you - those born at the very, very start of Sagittarius - are looking at the future with a degree of uncertainty, and rightfully so, as things may get a little messy this month. But this is the exception, not the rule. It’s a quiet month – recharge.
Capricorn Pluto is still moving forward in a way that takes no prisoners, some of you are definitely under the microscope in a way that suggest there is no room for squirming – there are only two choices, yes or no, black or white, do or don’t. And there’s not really any point in negotiating about it either, what’s done is done and there’s no going back. The coming weeks and couple of months are going to resolve situations and bring things up into the light that have been hidden for quite a long time, and as a result you’ll find that you feel cleaner despite the potential pain of endings or separation. What Pluto doesn’t destroy he transforms, the opposite of crisis and trauma is the caterpillar turning into the butterfly, the snake shedding its skin. During February you’re in an excellent space to not only get to the bottom of things but to ferret and root about in the undergrowth and bring all types of both buried treasure and repressed feelings to the surface. This is not time to hide away and wait until the big boys have gone away – this is the time to get out there and lean by direct first hand experience – it’s better to try and fail than not to try at all, and over a period of time practice makes perfect. If you’re prepared to just grit your teeth, pull your sleeves up and get stuck in, then by the middle of March you should find yourself in an increasingly powerful position, where you can utilise the wisdom you’re gaining now in much more enriching ways.
Aquarius All change, please switch to a faster/slower train… So much going on, it’s a bit rock and roll in that you’re having to ride with the punches and see where you stand at any given time. But – it’s getting there. On the 3rd of February, Neptune leaves your sign for the last time in over 150 years, and any residual vagueness, distortion, confusion or mist from recent months or years will effectively and permanently disappear. You should all collectively find that your attention returns, your focus sharpens and that your ability to obtain clarity more quickly and easily becomes a welcome bonus. And Mercury is in your sign in the first half of the month. Mercury loves it in Aquarius, its capacity for logical, rational and analytical thought goes well with the objective and detached capacities of Aquarius, so you should find that at least the first half of February is a time for clear and precise communications with almost everyone, and that you’ll be able to make things happen at the right time in a far more efficient way than normally. The second half of the month is less direct or assertive, but also more relaxed and harmonious. It is not a difficult month – anything but, but if you wish to get things done then do them in the first half of the month when the energy around you is conducive to quick thinking and snappy and art communications. Above all else, February is a time for celebration – Neptune has finally gone away!
Pisces This is going to be one of those months that you remember for a long time to come, to make sure that it’s for the right reasons. Venus spends the first week of the month with you, particularly enchanting for those of you born after the 11th. And Mercury moves into your sign on the 14th for the remainder of the month, bringing a faster and more verbal element into your life in a way that should prove quite stimulating. But it is the permanent entry of your notional chart ruler, Neptune, into your sign on the 3rd February that is going to bring the most fundamental change there’s been for a long, long time in many of your lives. Admittedly, during 2012 he is only going to be directly affecting those of you born on or before the 20th February, but all of you will resonate with his influence. On the one hand, expect a more uncertain and confusing energy, potentially involving gullibility and deception. On the opposite side of the same coin lies the potential for empathy and compassion, sensuality, spirituality, art, aesthetics and a good link with the divine. And on February 21st it is the new Moon in Pisces, strongly conjunct Neptune, emphasising all or any of these qualities in your life. Being seduced can be such fun when you know that it’s going on… You should find that this month has an element of enchantment about it that makes everything a little bit wonderland like. Don’t get seduced without permission, but have fun – it’s the right month for it.
