Steve Judd's Forecast for December 2011
Libra | Scorpio | Sagittarius | Capricorn | Aquarius | Pisces
About Steve Judd

A month of major events awaits, but whilst these events may be truly significant, the outcome(s) won’t become apparent until January at the earliest, and more like February or March. Uranus standing still at the very start of Aries will bring some of the Arab Spring, Occupy and other forms of individual protest further into sharp focus, and protest about individual freedoms and rights will become prevalent. Jupiter standing still at the very start of Taurus is bringing a sharp lesson in value judgement and reassessment, leading to individuals who are doing it for themselves to become more successful, whilst the larger combines will fail through conformity and lack of innovation. And Mercury standing still in the middle of the month at the start of Sagittarius is going to remove the last opaqueness from our bullshit filters, so that truth once again will be spoken, regardless of consequences. The Gemini full Moon on the 10th does little to clarify situations, and can exacerbate communication difficulties at the financial level, so the current financial stand offs are set to continue becoming ever more extreme as the old systems approach final melt down point and the new limbers up ready to replace it. And the new Moon in Capricorn on the 24th is strongly aspecting Uranus and Pluto, as well as Jupiter, so I do expect a melt down of some type to occur in the second half of the month, something that will necessitate the launch of a new way of managing money and credit. It’s a crazy month, with parameters changing at the daily level until after the 14th, and nothing will be making sense until after then, but if you’ve got an element of prankster in your chart then this is a great time to surf the edges, because there are genuinely golden brand new opportunities out there, there’s a new wave happening in the early new year and it would be good to be in at the start ...
Aries With Uranus standing still in your sign throughout this coming month, you’re in a situation where the lessons of the last eight months are beginning to really take hold, and you’re able to finally start making sense of the disruption and unpredictability around since March. What you can’t do now is take radical actions, or make specific choices – there’s still a lot of information and further developments to come between now and next March, but what you can do is start the process of consolidating core beliefs and functions. Much of 2011 has brought a great deal of sudden change, either in terms of challenge or in terms of opportunity. Now you can start to make sense of all of that change and as a result begin to anticipate futures with a degree more realism than at any time so far this year. There’s no point trying to finalise any situation involving contact with others, because things are still to variable. But internally, you can now isolate core functions that have changed and begin to anchor those changes into your mainframe, to make them part of your permanent programming. The new roots and fundamentals that have recently formed/are now forming represent the basic for the new pattern that is steadily emerging as Uranus traverses your sign. December is the month to isolate those core principles and to consolidate them into your hard wiring, thus giving you the basis for future experiments knowing that you’ve a solid core.
Taurus Jupiter stands still in your sign this month, suggesting that it is a good time for reassessment and re-evaluation of the last six months. Since June 2100, there’s been the potential for growth and expansion, but also the potential for over reaching, overstretching and generally biting off more than you can chew. It now seems that most of the hot air balloons of recent times are about popped, and that those opportunities of recent times that have lasted are now looking much more realistic. This month is a time for being more selective of your options, for making choices and preparing plans for growth, at least in your personal life. But the time of action is still yet to come, early in 2012, so December is not a time for hasty or ill thought out actions, but is a time for evolution of plan, schedule and blueprint so that when the time is right you can move forwards with confidence. Really – the first few months of the year are going to be so fast that if you take precipitory action now, you will jump the gun and do yourself no favours. Bide your time. And a word to the wise – specific issues concerning children, finance and debt can feature to a larger degree than usual over December, so keep things in perspective. An old Taurean saying is ‘look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves’, and this applies strongly from now to the end of the month. If you must spend money, do so either selectively, or in moderation – or both!
Gemini During the first half of the month, your function seems to be sounding board or whipping post for everyone else to take their frustrations out on, and at the one to one level there can be a number of difficult situations developing in the short term that really shouldn’t be taken too seriously. You’ll find misinformation, disinformation, confusion and disorder if you try to make sense of what seems to be happening around you. And to add insult to injury, on the 10th December it’s the Gemini full Moon, yet another indication if one was needed of how the first half of December is a bit of a pig’s ear if you try and work with it in terms of rationality and logic. Far better just to surf the waves of change and see where you end up be the middle of the month, from whence there’s a greater degree of personal stability and outer clarity steadily growing. It must be also said that the clarity and transparency that you desire won’t full become available until the start of January, so perhaps this month isn’t a good time for major choices or decisions, merely a time of mulling and sipping at the well whilst you make your choices. The first half of the month is experiential, whilst the second half of December is decisive, with action coming early in the New Year. So be aware that you can push others’ buttons at the one to one level, and that equally yours can also get pushed, so don’t take anything too seriously until after solstice.
Cancer Still the whipping boy for other people’s problems, but steadily growing thicker and thicker skin whilst extending the hand of friendship at the same time – that’s the ideal status at the moment, although there can also be the tendency to retreat into your shell because the world can seem to be a big and nasty place sometimes. There can be service issues – the way that you are of help to other people, especially those less fortunate than yourself, is often an area of self pride, with the genuine desire to help. But sometimes others can just take you for granted, and then you end up felling like a slave as opposed to a servant. As soon as you start to feel obliged, it’s time to clear off and let them get on with it for themselves. So by all means continue to reach out and help others, but do so on your terms because otherwise issues of self worth can be degenerated, not good for man or beast. It’s probably a good month for a reasonably thorough systems check in terms of lifestyle, as in exercise, nutrition and general well being, but it’s not an especially good month for being out there in the world, projecting or asserting yourself or taking the initiative. Keep soaking up what’s going on around you, pat the little children on the head and send them back out to play, but don’t forget to take time for yourself to download and discharge, because how can you help anyone else if you’re not in good working order yourself?
Leo Compared to many others, you’re in for a relatively quiet month, where the influences and effects of recent times are steadily and solidly assimilating themselves into your hard wiring in a way that should bring steady consistency. Sounds boring, but in times like these it’s not to be sniffed at. Every so often there’s a need for you to strut your stuff and to remind the world of your existence, but if you can get over that superficial flamboyancy during December, you can quietly beaver away in the background and bring a degree of reliability into your life that seems to have been absent for a long time. Most of you are in for a comparatively quiet month, but for some of you there are specific indications. Those born at the very start of Leo are likely to get a significant number of buttons pushed during December, and the challenge will be to keep a level head when all around seem to be losing theirs. And those people born at the very end of Leo seem to be exiting some type of mist or fog that’s been clogging up their future vision for a couple years. In many ways December 2011 is a good month for tying up a lot of loose ends and removing a lot of the superficial trivialities of life that take too much time and effort for too little reward, it’s called clearing the decks so that the future can come in without having to negotiate old baggage. No-one’s watching now, you can get a lot of little things done in the name of all round housekeeping.
Virgo And Mars is having a field day with you, trudging through your sign as opposed to galloping, and leaving a degree of frustration and impotence in his wake, which will take the coming few months to resolve properly…. An extremely frustrating time for many of you, and one where if you act impulsively or out of anger you will do your medium term future a considerable disservice. Whilst during December Mars is only directly affecting those of you born from the 2nd to the 12th of September, its reverberations will directly influence many of you, and as this is the start of a seven month process, so the potential for volatile or overly direct action or words is stronger than usual. December is an absolutely excellent month for getting out into the garden with a pitchfork and spade and using your physical energy that way, as opposed to allowing it to come through you in a way not conducive to your well being. Avoid frustrating times which can easily lead to clumsiness, bumps, bangs, bruises and accidents – particularly to the head. Not for nothing is Mars known as the headbanger. The first two weeks of the month are potential more difficult than the second two, so there really is a case for counting to ten sometimes, and perhaps saying to people that you’ll think on things and come back to them in a week when you’ve thought about things, as opposed to strangling them on the spot. Mars is hitting you hard – use your energy, don’t let it use you.
Libra So Saturn slows down at last, and the hectic and somewhat challenging restrictions of recent months begin to come to a temporary pause… This is a good month to look at the time since August and ask yourself what you have learnt. There’s been a number of difficult challenges and hardships that have stopped you from moving forward in ways that you’d like, but if you're brave enough to look underneath the superficial veneer of difficulty you'll see that underlying the challenges have been a degree of resoluteness coming from yourself that says quite simply ‘I will NOT be beaten by this, I WILL work it out, through sheer bloody minded effort if nothing else.’ When your back is against the wall you find out haw strong you really are, and whom you can and cannot rely on, and it’s also when you find out where your boundaries concerning civilised behaviour really are. What will you put up with? I suggest that recent months have changed boundaries of acceptability, and that only now are you even beginning to get an idea of how the new format will be. This is a good month for gently testing forming boundaries, but not for being too hard line on either yourself or on others. You’re entering a new phase, one where the experiences of recent months will serve as guidelines for the future and where through your own self discipline you can a more focussed and effective energy into your life, so take your time – this is still the taking root, not the growth.
Scorpio Over recent months there have been a few flurries of excitement, a kind of taster for what is yet to come, but nothing that really satisfies or fulfills that gradually growing disenchantment with life and the desire for a makeover or even re-invention. And the events of last couple of months have just added fuel to the flames, with a kind of growing discontent becoming ever more pervasive in the sub-conscious background. The long term forecast now looks at Saturn’s entrance into your sign in about nine months time and the advised cleansing and clearing until that time so that it will pass more successfully. There’s an energy to this discontent, a kind of itch that you cannot scratch, that pushes you forward whether you want to go or not, and ideally you're going to use this month to be more discerning and cognisant of who and what is still relevant in your life, and to slowly and subtlety distance yourself from those things and people who are falling by the way as you and they go in different directions. This is the precursor to what is to come, and if you go into this energy of streamlining willingly then words such as effectiveness and efficiency will become your watchword, and you will find the outside world a lot easier to deal with. This month – step back and get your act together in a way that bolsters your long term future.
Sagittarius Mercury is retrograde in your sign until the 14th, and even after then he will not bring the normal degree of clarity that you would like, probably until the New Year. Consequently, December really is not a good month for making choices or decisions that go beyond the week by week, because there’s still a lot more information to come that will change the ways that you think about things and you won’t be in full possession of all the facts you need to make an informed decision until the first week of January, so use December as a time of ‘watch and learn’. It would be really the wrong move to fall out with people right now, especially those in a position or responsibility and/or authority, as your temper management skills are temporarily not at their best. Seriously folks, there’s some really weird communications out there in the first half of the month and if you take it seriously then you will screw up big time. Far better to just surf, flow with the go and go where the flow takes you. This leads to direct experience that can’t be thought about or analysed, only lived. You can explain it in the second half of the month. So ultimately, the outcome of December is in your own hands. If you choose to see the events of the first two weeks of the month as representative of reality, then you’re going to find yourself going down a different pathway than before. Alternatively, if you suspend judgement and wait till January, you’ll probably be pleased that you did.
Capricorn Many of you have been through the hedge backwards over recent years, and current indications are that the coming few months are going to see much of these recent years’ developments encapsulated into a brief period of time. With Pluto moving faster and faster in the short term, the potential for accelerating transformation is growing day by day. But there’s no consistency or stability to be had – a combination of the outer planets are creating constant change around you, which you can either dance with or react to. And this month, the Capricorn new Moon on the 24th December is very close to Pluto and strongly square Uranus, suggesting that fortune favours the brave but not the foolhardy, and that wise and considered yet assertive and incisive action will normally carry the day, as long as you’re not going out of your way to tread on other people’s toes. The new Moon is also trine Jupiter, suggesting to me that those of you who are willing to integrate the ideas of innovation and hard work are in a very good space to make new things happen in a way that augurs well for the future. The only real challenge at this time is if you insist on staying the same, as nature abhors rigidity and too much stability. This can be the month where events of recent times suddenly start making sense as the new pattern unfolds into your consciousness, or it can be a time of disorder and disruption due to your unwillingness to go with the waves of change.
Aquarius Neptune clears the penultimate degree of your sign in December, and by February of next year its influence will be a thing of the past. This is a month for the tying up of loose ends, and some of you, primarily those born on or after the 16th February, can finally start the process of closing doors in a way that’s been longed for but not achieved – until now. There is a degree of natural closure around now, that can sometimes be accompanied by a degree of mourning or grief, but if so is not signified as being either major or lasting a long time. It’s like a kind of spiritual shower, where the cloying and sticky memories of recent years are beginning to finally wash away, and as you become lighter so the effects of recent times become memory. But this is not happening overnight, and were you to push yourself too hard now there will be damage… This is the month for staying relatively low in the background and doing what needs to be done without making a fuss. By doing things and making decisions quietly but firmly, you can avoid all the normal song and dance that goes with change and slowly create a new pattern for you to operate from, one that has a greater transparency and equality than anything experienced over recent years. There’s no rush – take your time, do things slowly and properly, and then you only have to do them once.
Pisces December affects you in a number of different ways, and the outcome of this month will depend on your expectation level and the time schedule you put into it. If you are looking for short term reward or gain, you’re not going to find it, and all that will happen is that disagreements or arguments will occur that will alienate you from those near and dear, so don’t let words get in the way of eye contact and humour. If you’re looking at December in terms of your long term development, there’s no clarity to be had, only a dream like vision of potential that nevertheless has a sparkle about it that can be magnetized and attracted towards you by a positive mental attitude. But it is the medium term that is of interest. The more you get into the first two or three months of the new year, the more you’re likely to find opportunity developing around you in ways that hasn’t happened for many years. It will be a brief, three to five month period, so you need to be at your best to take advantage of the windows of opportunity as they present themselves. And December is not a good time for either preparation or planning, as it seems as though if anything can go wrong it will. It’s not going to be until the end of the month that clarity will begin to dawn, and not until well into January before results start showing, but if you can bide your time and focus on charging specific energy reservoirs, you’ll be able to work more powerfully come the new year, when your energies ripen.
