With the exception of the first five days of the month when Mercury opposes Jupiter and Uranus and squares Pluto, the ‘big boys’ pattern that has so dominated recent times is in relative abeyance, there should be no new major global developments – apart from, as I say, the first few days of the month. October is characterised initially by Mercury’s passage through Libra, conjuncting Saturn around the 8th, bringing a much more lucid and definitive clarity to both personal and global decision making processes. But the main theme of October is not global; it’s personal in the intimate sense of the word. The start of the month is the final peak of the ongoing three month conjunction of Venus and Mars, this time in Scorpio. Expect a lot of relationship developments this month, for both positive and for challenging.

Aries At this time of 2010, the only real area of challenge is actually nothing directly to do with you – but almost inevitably, you’re going to find that the effects of other people’s money impacts upon you big time. This could be to do with mortgage or loan, sponsorship and funding, inheritance or partner’s money - but your life can be uncomfortably dictated by the influence of other’s leverage at the moment, so do your best to keep everything transparent and above board, and at the same time slowly and gradually grasp more and more of the reins of your life so that you’re not in ‘debt’ to anyone, however that debt manifests. By finalising the process of elimination and detoxification, you clear the decks for the future – and the Aries full Moon on the 23rd is a clear signal of this.

Taurus The more you try and bring clarity and action into all of your one to one interactions, the madder and more disruptive it gets. A combination of Mars and retrograde Venus in your opposite sign makes for both actions and challenges, and it’s safe to say that this is a time of ‘ongoing’. Gemini There are two different options that you can pursue at this time, one being the more mental and social with the other being the more emotional. Libra Saturn is merrily trucking through your sign at a rate of knots, particularly affecting those of you born from the 29th September through to the 5th October in ways that are really life changing. For many of you the short term message is blunt and clear – cut your losses. Let go of things and people that are past their sell by date and at the end of their shelf life. It’s that once a year time when the Moon is new in Libra, and whilst the actual two of three days centred on the 7th are the clearest indicators of how new starts can be properly augmented, the whole month is a time for realistic fresh beginnings in a way that is structured, planned and orderly. In fact, the more you are willing to take chances based on grounded and common sensical approaches, the more likely they are to succeed, especially in the first half of the month.

Scorpio Venus retrograde in your sign over the whole of October and November and into December of 2010 brings such a period of major re-assessment of both values and priorities that you can’t safely make clear can conscious permanent choices until this process is over. Ask yourself – what is of value and worth to you now compared to two or three years ago? If it is still the same, then by all means move slowly ahead. Pisces On the one hand, there’s a great deal of potential around you that says you can be creative and innovative, but on the other hand the opposite side of the same energy says all well and good but don’t go into debt to make it happen. The thing to avoid at this time is being disempowered by other people’s material influences upon you, so perhaps it’s better to do it slowly, gradually and alone rather than go for the quick fix by going into hock. If you do decide to use external resources, then only do so in a way that is clear and binding, transparent and specific – otherwise be sure that confusion will ensue and things will get messy, so stay clean.
