Touch Therapy
Carol J. McDaniel
Since a good practitioner’s learning should never end, Carol continues to pursue additional training in advanced massage and manual therapy techniques by teacher assisting, attending continuing education seminars, conducting case studies, and meeting advanced techniques certification criteria. Carol’s talent lies with the subtler systems of the body such as the Lymphatic and Fascial systems.
Carol has been in private practice since 2003 and has much experience with vast array of conditions. Her specialties include, but are not limited to: inflammation and swelling, detoxification, pain and injury recovery, support during and after cancer treatment, autoimmune disorders, and general wellness. She prefers to work closely with her client’s primary care physicians or chosen health professionals to assure the best and most comprehensive care is received.
Carol graduated from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree. To manage a repetitive use injury and pain during her collegiate swimming career, her coach turned her to massage therapy. This unexpectedly introduced her to bodywork. Her fascination with this healing art eventually guided her career down a new path.
Carol continues to stay physically active teaching and practicing Ashtanga and Yin yoga. Other interests and activities include hiking, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, and world travel.
